We started around a table at a Caribbean restaurant — a few of us talking about how tired we were of seeing people struggle alone. Between bites of curry chicken and laughter about “what ifs,” an idea was born.
"No grants. No plan. Just purpose."
We started taking calls on lunch breaks, writing notes on napkins, helping whoever needed help that day. One person needed a letter for their landlord, another wanted to start a small business, someone else needed to understand a government form. We just said, "Let’s figure it out."
