We're Here. And We're Listening.

Hello, Brant County.
We are The Equity and Advocacy Social Justice Foundation (EASJF), and we are new. We don’t have a big office or a formal sign on the door. In fact, our foundation began just last month, around a table at a local restaurant.
It started with a few of us talking about what we were seeing right here in our community. We saw brilliance, resilience, and great ideas. But we also saw people feeling isolated, struggling with the same problems, and navigating complex systems alone.
And we decided it was time to connect.
Our purpose is simple: to be a bridge. To insert equity back into justice, right here at home. We believe that rural and regional communities like ours are full of "communities within communities," each with its own intellectual resources, experiences, and strengths.
This is an invitation.
We want to hear your stories. What are your ideas? What challenges are you facing? What successes are you celebrating?
We aren't here with all the answers. We are here to build a table, to listen, and to connect those dots. We want to be a hub where we can pool our shared knowledge—whether it’s about navigating legal forms, writing a business plan, or simply knowing who to call.
Our foundation is being built from the ground up, by the community, for the community.
This is just the beginning. We're here to listen, to learn, and to build. We believe a more equitable Brant County is possible, and we're ready to build it together.
Let’s talk.
— The EASJF Team
